A Rain Poncho at a Concert

Rain Ponchos make sense at concerts.

Concerts are the best. There’s nothing like picking up a new CD or album, listening to it constantly for a few months, and then learning that the band will be coming to your area. Most people would think that a rain poncho has absolutely no relevance to a concert, unless someone at the concert is making a radical rain poncho fashion statement. We believe it is just the opposite. Outdoor concert venues are popular for many of the big bands that we see on summer tours. The weather doesn’t care about who is playing and when; it pretty much does what it wants.

Let’s say Jack Johnson is playing at the largest outdoor venue in the United States, and you have been waiting to see him perform for 5 years. Right after his first song, the heavens unleash, and it’s a downpour. Now you are faced with a decision. “Do I stand here in the pouring rain and watch Jack sing, or do I run for cover and hope the rain ends quickly?” The question that most people don’t ask, but should ask, is: “Where can I get a rain poncho or an umbrella?” This not only allows you to watch Jacky boy sing, but it allows you to be comfortable and look awesome at the same time. Forget that last part.  Maybe we are thinking too much like the radical fashion statement guy from before.

Of all the places that we sell to, we believe that outdoor concerts are probably the most relevant place for us to sell our rain ponchos and umbrellas. Do they fit in at racetracks? Absolutely. Theme Parks? They sure do. But at an outdoor concert you are not going to want to miss a moment, and having a rain poncho or umbrella would keep you from missing a single note.
