Rain Poncho for a Sporting Event

Never miss any action with a rain poncho.

Sporting events are huge for a business that sells rain ponchos and golf umbrellas. Why you ask? Because when it rains at one of these events, you basically have a huge crowd of people standing or sitting in the rain, and they aren’t going to move. No one wants to just sit there and get drenched, so people grab the almighty rain poncho and hang tough. People used to use golf umbrellas, but the problem is that the rain runs off the sides of the umbrellas, and drenches people around the golf umbrella user. So football, tennis, soccer, and baseball stadiums were having audience members get into huge fights, because one person gets out a golf umbrella, gets everyone wet and blocks people’s views. So almost every outdoor sporting venue in the world has banned golf umbrellas, and prefers that the audience members wear rain ponchos instead.

So because of this we are going to write a nice little series of sporting event stories about the crowds of rain ponchos that are brought out when it starts to rain at these venues. A rain poncho keeps people dry, and keeps them in the game, so to speak. It’s really funny to see a rainy sporting event on T.V. actually. The camera will pan out, and show thousands upon thousands of people getting out each rain poncho and putting it on, kind of in a “ugh this is terrible” attitude. No one looks excited to be putting on their rainwear, which I think is a mistake first of all. It’s not like putting on a rain poncho is an everyday task; people should be excited to finally be able to use their rain ponchos! But the next few blog posts will be about sports, and some of the funny rain poncho trends that we have located on our Twitter feed and through news stories.
